FEATURED ALBUM FOR MARCH
On the heels of my 2002 Stormy Weather release, which was a collection of ballads with a very mellow tone overall, I wanted to do something a little more contemporary and a little more upbeat. I chose songs from some of my early rock influences; Billy Joel, Elton John, Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, and of course The Beatles . SONG SPOTLIGHT Things We Said Today This early Beatles tune provides me an opportunity to rock out a little bit on a song that most people are familiar with. The solo piano version on Moondance was recorded in August, 2004, and ends the album on an upbeat note. I also perform this song in a piano/vocal arrangement which I had the opportunity to do in January in Paradise, CA. I played it as the last song in my performance there with a good response from the audience. |
